Imogen Eveson created her first magazine, Fizz, aged 12. As print editor of Australian Traveller and International Traveller, Imogen was named Editor of the Year at the 2024 Mumbrella Publish Awards. In 2023, Imogen was awarded the Cruise Line Industry Association Australia (CLIA Australia) Media Award for her cruise reporting and thought leadership. Before joining Australian Traveller Media as sub-editor in 2017, Imogen worked as a freelance contributor to national and international culture, lifestyle and travel publications including Broadsheet, Russh and SilverKris. Imogen launched her career in London, where she graduated with a BA Hons degree in fashion communication from world-renowned arts and design college Central Saint Martins. Her final major project, a fashion and arts journal named Fauve, led to a commission to author and design a retrospective book about boundary-pushing cultural venue The Wapping Project, which was published by Black Dog Publishing in 2014. Imogen grew up in Glastonbury, home to the largest music and performing arts festival in the world, and has also worked as an arts assistant for the UK’s leading festival promoter, Festival Republic.
Cultural cross-pollination continues to inspire Imogen and, underpinned by a commitment to promoting responsible tourism and drilling down into the heart of a destination, finds perfect expression in shaping Australia’s leading travel titles. Today, Imogen regularly appears as a guest on radio travel segments, including ABC National Nightlife, and represents Australian Traveller Media at global travel expos such as IMM Sydney, ILTM APAC, Further East and We Are Africa.
